Good Days

In our natural state of mind is a peaceful mind. Upon awaking we are as one with the world and know that means a state natural bliss. We must put aside worry and stress, chaos from others, and be open to the reality that all is not lost, but merely in a state of flux, a transition of events filled with emotions, desires, dreams, and our own pursuit of happiness. Through our thoughts we create our world, our state of being, our state of health, and who we are. Let the joy show through, dispels fears and doubts, embrace family, long-distant friends, and believe that every day is going to be a good day - T.S.Garp

Summer Rituals

Summer Rituals Watching them trek across the sand Hot underfoot from grains sparkling like tiny glass Seeking and venturing new places to dwell Planting a symbolic flag of right Settling in an open house without walls Lingering for just a minute before running Toward the blue crystalline massive pool of water Cooling themselves from the summer heat ‭Repeating this many times‭ As the ladies watch from the shore tanning themselves* An excerpt from my book Serenity’s Dream - T.S.Garp © http://www.tsgarpbooks.com/blog/

R.I.P. Roger Ebert.

On April 4th 2013 the world said good-bye to Roger Ebert. Most famous as a film critic for the Chicago Sun-Times since 1967. Ebert was an American journalist, film critic, and screenwriter. In 1975, he was the first film critic to win the Pulitzer Prize for Criticism. I can remember Roger Ebert in my youth watching him on the PBS show Sneak Previews with critic Gene Siskel, both helped popularized the televised film reviewing. Their trademark thumbs up or thumbs down could make or break a movie. Ebert co-wrote the screenplay for the 1970 cult classic Russ Meyer film “Beyond the Valley of the Dolls” Roger Ebert was highly regarded as a film critic for his grace and respected opinions. R.I.P. Roger Ebert. We will miss you.

Year of The Water Snake

The Chinese New Year starts on February 10, 2013 ushering in the Year of the Water Snake. This fortunate time marks symbols of longevity, prosperity, and a chance to eradicate any negative vibrations or chi from the past. Influences from the Snake can bring more focus, direction, and clarity on purpose or goals. This is a good year for more organization, motivation, and determination on intellectual pursuits. The Water Snake brings insightfulness and a resolute to achieve success in all matters of desire regardless of the final result may have as long as the effort is acknowledged and received pleasantly. However, depending on one’s personally these could play out either agreeably or result in problematic outcomes with friends, colleagues or family. After 12-12-12

Dec. 12, 2012 came and went. A pivotal point in history for it will not happen again for long time. This date is the last triple-digit date alignment until Jan. 1, 2101. Twelve is the number of what is completed, which forms a whole, a perfect and harmonious unit. A significant date to some promoting a change coming soon that equates a peaceful transition. The date 12-12-12 holds mystical and supernatural powers as well as full of energy. Twelve is the symbol of material and spiritual that also represents the manifestation of the Trinity to the four corners of the horizon.

Twelve also is of divine power, rule, and authority. It means joined, united, oversight; government is the means by which people are united into common purposes and goals. A magical time/number to come together and make a difference in the world by spreading encouragement for the pursuit of happiness to all. An excellent time to promote friendships and bring bonds closer with shared ideas and goals for a bright future. Enjoy this great moment in time and history, and keep thinking positive for a better tomorrow - T.S.Garp

Doctor Who in New York

This article of mine was written months ago and for lack of a better word was lost in the shuffle, but good news is that it was published online before the Doctor transports himself and company to the streets of New York City. This episode was filmed months back as the dashing Doctor prepares to say good-bye to his long-time companions and soon meets another one.

Be sure to read Doctor Who Takes Manhattan. Doctor Who gains momentum as global appeal increases and happily invades American television.

ENDEAVOUR'S LAST JOURNEY

I know I have been away for a very long time. But keeping up with today's news in the New York Times or rather a week ago, I am intrigued by the fly-byes of the last of the space shuttles. The Endeavour space shuttle buzzed over LA and San Fransisco flying low enough for everyone to see. A completely awestruck once in a lifetime experience to behold. Later, after safety landing at LAX, the shuttle will stay a few weeks there before making its final journey over the streets of Los Angeles as it travels to its new home at the California Science Center.
