In today’s world of modern technology and fast food people are forgetting to eat their vegetables. The best way to maintain a healthy diet is to be on a natural one. Everyone has heard an apple a day keeps the doctor away and that is essentially true. Recent studies and research has just started to catch up to the old notion that clearly shows evidence that links eating a diet of vegetables and fruit is beneficial in preventing cancer and are loaded with antitoxins. Here is a list of must-have cancer fighting vegetables and fruits you need to have in your house for everyday cooking and everyday living.

Garlic and Onions


Garlic and onions are part of the Allium vegetable family which includes scallions, and chives. The Alluim vegetables contain cancer fighting compounds such as organosulfur, quartering, and allixin. Research has shown that these compounds in garlic can stop and slow down the growth of tumors in the bladder, stomach, colon, and prostate.

Ginger


Ginger is a unique and clever fighter of cancer cells. Ginger has been known for the treatment of nausea and has inflammatory properties. Ginger works cleverly by autophagic, causing cell death, along with apoptosis to cancer cells. Ginger also kills bacteria, inflammation, and fights tumors.

Cabbage

Celery


Celery can reduce blood pressure, it purifies, and alkalinizes the blood, and is a good source of sodium, iron, calcium, potassium, B-complex, and magnesium. Celery helps with liver and kidney function, adds in digestion, and inhibits cancer growing cells.

Cilantro

Cilantro contains an antibacterial properties that is well known to prevent indigestion and widely used as a digestive aid for thousands of years. Cilantro is an anti-inflammatory and helps in fighting skin cancer, contains antioxidants like caffeic acid and chlorogenic acid. Cilantro is a germ fighter, helps with bloating and weight loss, helps the heart by reducing bad cholesterol.

Parsley


Parsley is an ancient herb dating back over 2000 years and is loaded with iron, potassium, calcium, Vitamin A, and contains more vitamin C than an orange. Parsley gives energy, stops and prevents the cancer causing carcinogenics from eating fried foods. Parsley is full of potent antioxidants and cancer preventative properties.
